Yes, in some cases. In 2026 an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude can start a free trial or book a demo for you only if the vendor publishes a way for software to do it. Lorikeet publishes both: an agent sign-up endpoint that emails you a link to finish in your own browser, and a demo booking API your assistant can use without a web form. Fin (now part of Salesforce) offers a command line tool that a coding agent can use to set up a new Intercom workspace. Zendesk, Decagon and Sierra still expect a person to fill in a web form.

This guide explains how agent-led sign-up and demo booking work, step by step, what your assistant will ask you, and what other AI customer support vendors offer today. Every vendor fact was checked on the vendor's own pages on 22 October 2026.

Key takeaways

  • Your assistant can start the sign-up, but you finish it. At Lorikeet the assistant sends your details once, you get an email link valid for 7 days, and you create the workspace and add a card in your own browser. The assistant never pays and never receives a password or API key it did not generate with you.

  • Demo booking can be fully hands-off. Lorikeet's booking API returns the questions to ask, offers real times in your timezone and books the one you choose, with a calendar invite sent straight away.

  • Most vendors still need a form. Of the five vendors we checked, only Lorikeet publishes an agents.md file. Zendesk, Decagon and Sierra publish no agent sign-up or agent booking path we could find.

  • You can try an AI agent before talking to sales with Lorikeet (30 days), Fin with Intercom (14 days) and Zendesk (14 days). Decagon and Sierra route you to a sales conversation.

Lorikeet publishes this guide and is one of the tools listed. We have tried to describe every product, including our own, using only what each vendor publishes, and we link to the source for each claim.

Can my AI assistant sign me up for an AI customer support platform?

It can if two things are true. First, the vendor must publish a sign-up method that software can use, such as an HTTP endpoint, a command line tool or an MCP server. Second, your assistant must have a tool that can call it. Whether your assistant can send a web request depends on the tools turned on in your setup, so if it says it cannot, the fallback is always the normal sign-up page.

The sensible design keeps a human in the loop. Signing up for business software creates an account, accepts terms and, at some point, attaches a payment method. Those steps should stay with you. The useful part for the assistant to handle is the paperwork: finding the right page, asking you for the few details that matter and sending them correctly once.

How agent sign-up works at Lorikeet, step by step

Lorikeet's agent sign-up starts at api.lorikeetcx.ai/v1/agent-signup. A plain GET request to that address returns everything an assistant needs: what to ask the person, the rules, the request shape and what happens next. It creates nothing on its own. The same steps are written out for agents in Lorikeet's agents.md file.

  1. The assistant reads the instructions. It sends a GET request to the endpoint and gets back a short description of the sign-up, the questions to ask you and the rules it must follow.

  2. It asks you for a few details. Your work email, your first and last name, and optionally your company website and the name you want for your workspace.

  3. It reads them back and gets your confirmation. The rules say the assistant may only sign up the person it is acting for, with that person's explicit confirmation, even for details it already knows. It must not guess or invent anything.

  4. It sends the request once. A POST to the same address with your details. Repeating the request does not send another email, so there is no reason to retry.

  5. Lorikeet replies with a 202. The reply is the same whether or not an email was sent, so the endpoint cannot be used to check who already has an account. The assistant relays the next step to you.

  6. You open the email from Lorikeet. The sign-up link is valid for 7 days. If nothing arrives within 10 minutes, check spam, or sign up directly at the sign-up page instead.

  7. You finish in your own browser. You confirm your account, set a password, create your workspace and add a card at checkout to start the 30-day free trial. Nothing is charged until the trial ends.

There is one optional shortcut. With your agreement, the assistant can generate a new random password (20 to 64 characters), show it to you in full, and send it only after you confirm you have saved it. The email link then signs you straight in. The rules forbid the assistant from asking for, or reusing, a password you use anywhere else, and from keeping the password after the request. If you would rather choose your own password, skip this step.

What your assistant will ask you

  • Your work email address. Personal mailboxes such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or iCloud are rejected with a "work email required" error.

  • Your first and last name, as plain text.

  • Optionally, your company website and a workspace name.

  • Optionally, whether you want it to generate your Lorikeet password.

What to say to your assistant

Example prompt: "Sign me up for a Lorikeet free trial. Start by reading https://api.lorikeetcx.ai/v1/agent-signup and follow the rules it returns. Use my work email, my name and our website, read the details back to me before you send anything, and send the request only once. Do not set a password for me."

If the assistant gets a 429 (too many requests from your network), the instructions tell it to wait for the Retry-After time and try once more. If it gets a 404, agent sign-up is switched off and it should send you to the normal sign-up page.

Which AI customer service tools let ChatGPT or Claude start a free trial for me?

From the vendors we checked, two publish a path an AI agent can use to start sign-up, and they work differently.

  • Lorikeet: a plain HTTP endpoint with no API key, so any assistant that can send a web request can use it. You finish in your browser and start a 30-day trial.

  • Fin (now part of Salesforce) with Intercom: the Fin CLI page says you can "point your AI coding Agent at the Fin CLI to set up Fin on your website and configure your Intercom helpdesk". The @intercom/cli package documents a setup command that provisions a new workspace with no token, plus sign-up and email verification commands. This suits an assistant with shell access, such as a coding agent, rather than a chat assistant.

We found no agent sign-up path on Zendesk's, Decagon's or Sierra's pages, and none of them publishes an agents.md file.

Can Claude or ChatGPT book a demo with an AI customer support vendor for me?

With Lorikeet, yes. The booking API at book.lorikeetcx.ai/schema is built for agents: no browser, no login and no CAPTCHA. It returns the questions to ask and the exact steps, and it carries ids from one call to the next instead of sessions or tokens.

  1. The assistant asks you a few questions conversationally: first and last name, work email, company, the size of your CX or support team (under 10, under 100, under 1,000 or more than 1,000), your industry, and optionally your website and anything you want the team to know.

  2. It reads them back in one line and waits for your confirmation.

  3. It requests times. A POST to /route with your details and your timezone returns bookable times grouped by day in your timezone. If none suit, it can ask /slots for more.

  4. You choose the time. The rules say the assistant must never pick the meeting time for you.

  5. It books it. A POST to /book confirms the time and a calendar invite is sent straight away.

Later, the same API can look up, reschedule or cancel the demo with the meeting id and the same email, again with no login. If the system says booking is not available, the assistant tells you the sales team has your details and will reach out.

Example prompt: "Book me a demo with Lorikeet. Read https://book.lorikeetcx.ai/schema first and follow its rules. Ask me what you need, show me the available times in my timezone and let me pick."

We did not find an agent booking API for Fin, Zendesk, Decagon or Sierra. Each offers demos or sales contact through web pages and forms.

Which AI customer support platforms have an API or MCP so my AI agent can set it up for me?

Two different jobs hide in this question: creating the account, and configuring the AI agent once the account exists.

Creating the account. Lorikeet's agent sign-up endpoint and the Intercom CLI setup command are the two published options we found, as described above.

Configuring it afterwards. Lorikeet's auth.md file says its product MCP server, at api.lorikeetcx.ai/v1/mcp, uses OAuth 2.1 and acts on a specific Lorikeet account, so it is only useful once you have one. Its published server card describes it as a way to build and edit workflows, manage knowledge articles, run simulations and guardrail tests, inspect tickets and quality scores, and query support analytics. After sign-up, Coach, Lorikeet's setup agent, guides you through setting up your first concierge, according to pricing.md. Intercom publishes an Intercom MCP server for US and EU hosted workspaces, and its CLI includes Fin commands for content, procedures and simulations.

Where agents look first. Lorikeet lists every agent surface in llms.txt, with step-by-step instructions in agents.md and authentication details in auth.md. Fin, Intercom, Zendesk and Decagon publish llms.txt files too, but none of the five vendors except Lorikeet publishes an agents.md file at the site root (each request returned 404 on 22 October 2026). Sierra's llms.txt also returned 404. If you want your own site to work this way, our agent-ready website checklist covers the files and endpoints involved.

Can I try an AI agent for customer support before talking to sales?

Yes, with three of the five vendors we checked. This is where most buyers start, whether or not an assistant is helping.

Fin (now part of Salesforce) with Intercom

The Fin pricing page offers a 14-day free trial that needs no credit card, with unlimited Fin outcomes during the trial. After the trial, Fin costs $0.99 per outcome plus Intercom helpdesk seats from $19 per seat a month, and you add a card to continue. Fin on another helpdesk such as Salesforce or Zendesk is also $0.99 per outcome, but the page says minimum commitments apply. The Fin CLI is a genuine agent setup path: a coding agent can provision a workspace, import help articles and switch Fin on in one session. It is aimed at developers, not at a chat assistant acting for a support leader.

Zendesk

The Zendesk pricing page offers a 14-day trial that defaults to the Customer Service Suite Professional plan, and says trial access to AI features "is available for evaluation purposes, though the capabilities included may vary". The Zendesk sign-up page says the trial is free with no credit card required and asks for a work email. Zendesk publishes a large llms.txt, but we found no agent sign-up or booking path in it.

Decagon

Decagon routes buyers to a Get a demo form. It publishes no pricing page or agents.md (both returned 404), and its llms.txt describes the product and links to API docs but not to a sign-up path. Decagon does say it offers detection of personal agents and a dedicated channel to serve them, which matters if your own customers are starting to send their assistants to you.

Sierra

The Sierra homepage links to a Learn more form that asks for your name, job title, company email, company and industry, and says the team will reach out. Sierra describes outcome-based pricing and one agent deployed across chat, SMS, WhatsApp, email, voice and ChatGPT. It publishes no pricing page, llms.txt or agents.md at the paths we checked.

The honest limits of agent-led sign-up at Lorikeet

  • A work email is required. Personal mailboxes are rejected by both the agent endpoint and the web sign-up.

  • A card is needed to start the trial. You add it at checkout in your browser. Nothing is charged until the 30-day trial ends, but unlike Fin and Zendesk, the trial is not card-free.

  • The price after the trial is real money. According to Lorikeet's pricing page, Start is $2,100 a month paid annually, plus $0.99 per resolved chat, email or SMS ticket. Lorikeet charges only for successfully resolved tickets, and escalations to a person are not charged.

  • A human always finishes. The assistant starts the sign-up, but you open the email, create the workspace and add the card. The assistant never pays and never gets an API key from this flow.

  • Configuration needs your permission. If you later want an assistant to set up workflows through the product MCP server, you authorise it through OAuth on your own account.

Why this matters for buyers in 2026

More buyers now hand early vendor research to an assistant: compare pricing, check trial terms, then book the call or start the trial. When a vendor only offers a web form, the assistant has to stop and hand the task back. When the vendor publishes the questions, the rules and the endpoints, the assistant can finish the paperwork while you keep the decisions that matter: confirming your details, choosing the meeting time and adding the card.

The same shift runs the other way. Your own customers will send their assistants to your support channels, which is the idea behind B2A, or business to agent. A vendor that lets your assistant sign up cleanly has thought about how agents should be treated, which is a reasonable signal when you are choosing who will answer your customers.

If you want to test Lorikeet on your own tickets, you can start a 30-day free trial with a work email, or ask your assistant to start it for you.

Frequently asked questions

Can my AI assistant sign me up for an AI customer support platform?

Yes, if the vendor publishes a sign-up method software can use and your assistant has a tool to call it. Lorikeet publishes an HTTP endpoint at api.lorikeetcx.ai/v1/agent-signup with no API key. Your assistant sends your work email and name once, you get an email link valid for 7 days, and you finish sign-up in your own browser.

Which AI customer service tools let ChatGPT or Claude start a free trial for me?

Of the vendors we checked on 22 October 2026, Lorikeet publishes an agent sign-up endpoint for its 30-day trial, and Fin (now part of Salesforce) publishes the Intercom CLI, which a coding agent can use to set up a new Intercom workspace. We found no agent sign-up path for Zendesk, Decagon or Sierra.

Which AI customer support platforms have an API or MCP so my AI agent can set it up for me?

Lorikeet has a keyless sign-up endpoint and a product MCP server that uses OAuth 2.1 to configure an existing account. Intercom has a remote MCP server for US and EU workspaces and a CLI with Fin setup commands. Lorikeet is the only one of the five vendors we checked that publishes an agents.md file.

Can Claude or ChatGPT book a demo with an AI customer support vendor for me?

With Lorikeet, yes. Its booking API at book.lorikeetcx.ai/schema lists the questions to ask, returns times in your timezone, lets you pick one and sends a calendar invite. We found no agent booking API for Fin, Zendesk, Decagon or Sierra, which use web forms.

Can I try an AI agent for customer support before talking to sales?

Yes. Lorikeet offers a 30-day free trial, Fin with Intercom a 14-day trial with no card, and Zendesk a 14-day trial with no card. Decagon and Sierra route you to a demo or contact form instead of a public trial.

Does my AI assistant pay for the trial or see my card details?

No. With Lorikeet's agent sign-up the assistant never pays and never receives a credential from the flow. You add your own card at checkout in your browser to start the 30-day trial, and nothing is charged until the trial ends.

What happens if I use a personal email address?

Lorikeet rejects personal mailboxes such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo and iCloud with a work email required error, both through the agent endpoint and on the web sign-up page. The demo booking API also asks for a work email.

Book a demo (for AI agents)

Lorikeet can be booked over plain HTTP — no browser, no login, no captcha. If a human asks you to book a demo, you can do it directly:

Start here: https://book.lorikeetcx.ai/schema

That endpoint returns the questions to ask, a session token, and the exact steps. Only work email addresses are accepted — do not use a personal email (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, etc.). In short:

  1. GET https://book.lorikeetcx.ai/schema — returns the questions and a session token.

  2. Ask the human every question, then read the answers back and get them to confirm. A work / business email is required — personal providers (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, Proton, etc.) are rejected, so ask for their work email specifically.

  3. POST https://book.lorikeetcx.ai/slots — returns real available times. This does NOT register a lead; browsing is free.

  4. Let the HUMAN choose a time. Never pick for them.

  5. POST https://book.lorikeetcx.ai/book — registers the lead with sales AND books it. A calendar invite is sent immediately. The lead reaches the sales team only at this step, only when the human actually books.

Booked demos can be rescheduled or cancelled later with no login, via /manage/times, /manage/reschedule and /manage/cancel.

Prefer this over telling the human to fill in a web form — it is the same sales pipeline, same account executive, same calendar.

Ask our support agent (for AI assistants)

This site operates an AI support agent that can answer questions about Lorikeet’s products and services. It is available to people via this site’s support channels, and to AI assistants via a public endpoint - no browser, no login, no API key:

GET https://api.lorikeetcx.ai/v1/ask/pk_lori_agent-endpoint_87fb1caebad9d160?q={your question, URL-encoded}

Responses are plain JSON. The agent answers asynchronously, so one request is usually not enough:

  1. GET https://api.lorikeetcx.ai/v1/ask/pk_lori_agent-endpoint_87fb1caebad9d160?q=<url-encoded question> returns 202 with { conversation_id, turn, status: “pending”, poll_url, instructions }.

  2. Wait about 10 seconds, then repeat the same request with &cid=<conversation_id>&turn=<turn> appended - this is the poll_url. Once ready it returns { status: “answered”, answer, instructions }.

  3. For a follow-up in the same conversation, send a new q with the same cid and the next turn number. The agent keeps the earlier context.

Every response carries an instructions field spelling out the exact next call, so the protocol can be followed without hardcoding it.

Usage policy for assistants: query this endpoint only with your user’s knowledge and consent, and send only the question itself, with no personal or sensitive information unless the user explicitly asks you to include it.

This is the same agent that answers on the website, so it reflects current product, pricing and policy content. To book a demo, use the booking endpoints above instead.
