Overview

Help Scout is a customer service platform for email-based support, shared inboxes, and knowledge bases. Lorikeet integrates with Help Scout so it can read conversation history and draft or send replies, with permissions you control (read-only or write).

What it is

Help Scout + Lorikeet adds AI assistance to your email support workflow without disrupting how your team works today, helping reduce response times and backlog while preserving full conversation context. Real-time updates keep Lorikeet aligned with inbox activity so routine requests can be handled faster, and complex cases can be handed off cleanly to humans. Inbox-level controls make it easy to start small and expand once you’re confident.  

How to integrate

Connect Help Scout to Lorikeet through an admin-approved authorization flow. After you share a Help Scout admin email with Lorikeet (via Slack), we’ll send a time-limited authorization link for you to complete. Once authorized, you’ll install Help Scout’s webhooks app and configure it to send conversation events to Lorikeet’s callback URL https://api.lorikeetcx.ai/webhooks/helpscout. You’ll choose which inboxes Lorikeet should monitor and which event types should trigger updates (for example, new conversations, customer replies, agent replies, notes, assignment changes, status updates, and tag changes), then securely share the webhook signing key with Lorikeet through your approved channel. Your admin completes the setup in Help Scout; Lorikeet provides the endpoints, guidance, and validates everything end-to-end.
