Open.cx is the AI-native customer support platform built for enterprises, automating over 80% of interactions for companies like MoneyGram, Mollie, and TicketSwap across voice, email, and web. They are hiring a Customer Engineer to serve as the direct technical bridge between enterprise customers and the Open.cx product. This is a hands-on engineering role with heavy customer exposure, and prompt engineering is a significant part of it.
What You'll Do
Be the primary technical point of contact: respond fast to customer queries and own resolution end-to-end
Lead technical onboarding, guiding setup, configuration, and integration with Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot, and others
Diagnose and resolve complex issues in live customer environments
Ship fixes and small features directly in the Node.js / TypeScript codebase
Develop deep knowledge of the AI agents and prompt engineering to advise customers on optimising support operations
Requirements
2-3+ years strong software engineering experience with Node.js and TypeScript
Hands-on experience with AI agents and prompt engineering
Previous customer-facing technical work: onboarding, debugging integrations in SaaS
Understanding of helpdesk APIs: Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot
Excellent English communication; able to work across US, EU, MENA and GCC time zones
