Twilio
Send SMS notifications and enable voice interactions at scale
Overview
Twilio is a communications platform for SMS and voice messaging. Lorikeet can connect to Twilio so it can send text messages as part of workflows—such as appointment reminders, order updates, and other proactive notifications.
What it is
Twilio + Lorikeet makes it easy to proactively keep customers informed via SMS without manual work—reducing inbound “status check” tickets and improving the customer experience. It’s especially useful for time-sensitive communications like reminders, delivery updates, and confirmations, and it helps teams scale outbound messaging without adding headcount.
How to integrate
You’ll obtain your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token from the Twilio Console and choose a Twilio phone number (or messaging sender) to send messages from. In Lorikeet, you’ll store these credentials and configure a Twilio tool that calls Twilio’s Messaging API to send SMS. You’ll define the inputs the tool requires—such as the recipient number, sender number, and message content—and the outputs you want captured for tracking and workflow logic (for example, message ID and delivery status). Your admin completes the setup in Twilio and Lorikeet; Lorikeet provides the endpoints, guidance, and validates everything end-to-end.
