Operations Support Specialist

As Operations Support Specialist, you'll drive operational excellence across Auckland Airport by improving how we work today and helping design how we'll work tomorrow. You'll work across airport operations, lounges and customer airline services, using digital tools, automation and AI-enabled ways of working to simplify processes, improve visibility and create scalable solutions.
How you'll make an impact
Lead the coordination of operational workflows across Auckland Airport, lounges and customer airline services, keeping priorities, risks and dependencies visible.
Identify opportunities to simplify processes and reduce manual administration through automation and digital enablement.
Champion emerging technologies including AI, ChatGPT, workflow automation, automated triage and digital reporting.
Design and maintain operational planning, reporting and tracking systems that provide meaningful insights.
Coordinate operational improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives, managing timelines and stakeholder engagement.
Produce high-quality operational documentation and reports with strong governance and version control.
What we're looking for
Established experience in operational support, business operations, project coordination, continuous improvement or business administration in a complex operational environment.
Demonstrated experience driving improvement through digital enablement, automation or process improvement.
Confidence using, or genuine interest in exploring, emerging technologies such as AI, ChatGPT, workflow automation or automated triage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge existing ways of working.
Confidence using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, SharePoint).
Experience in aviation, transport, logistics or another safety-conscious environment is an advantage but not essential.
