HR Operations Specialist (Automation & AI)

As an HR Operations Specialist (Automation & AI) on Ford's Human Resources team, you'll support team members under a Shared Services model. This is a highly active, operational role executing day-to-day HR transactions and resolving employee inquiries, while serving as the digital champion who automates workflows with the Microsoft 365 suite and generative AI, designs dashboards, and guides peers in adopting modern tools.
Responsibilities
Tech-enabled customer service: manage calls, tickets and inquiries, using AI-driven ticketing to optimize response times and first-contact resolution.
Process automation: identify manual, repetitive tasks and build automated solutions using Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps.
AI mentorship: act as the team's AI advocate, research emerging HR technologies, and train peers in adopting AI tools.
Data analytics: build and maintain interactive dashboards (Power BI or advanced Excel) to report HR KPIs such as accuracy, response times and CSAT.
Core HR administration: employee data management, onboarding/offboarding and payroll coordination with strong data integrity.
Process mapping: document HR process maps and SOPs and propose automated fixes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's in HR, Business Administration, IT, Digital Business or related, or equivalent experience.
English proficiency required; Portuguese desirable.
Minimum 1 year of experience with a Master's or 2 years with a Bachelor's, preferably in HR Shared Services, customer service or an operations-focused technology role.
Microsoft 365 power user with proven experience building automated workflows in Power Automate and managing SharePoint and Teams.
Practical experience using generative AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) for drafting and productivity.
Intermediate-to-advanced Excel; familiarity with Power BI, basic SQL or basic Python highly preferred.
