Product Owner, AI Agents and Platform

Jerry.ai is a pre-IPO startup ($240M raised, 5M+ customers, profitable) building the first app to manage car and home ownership end-to-end. Reporting to the COO, you'll lead the customer-facing Agentic AI product, leveraging LLMs, agents, and internal APIs, and work with partners like OpenAI to integrate Jerry.ai services directly into the ChatGPT app.
Jerry was early on generative AI, building homegrown infrastructure that today automates over 70% of inbound sales and service requests (50k+ chats per month). That head start created leverage and complexity: prompts now live across six separate locations with no single source of truth. You'll own building and scaling a unified AI platform and deciding where the next bets — voicebot, computer use, consumer AI applications — belong on the roadmap.
How You'll Make an Impact
Lead end-to-end development for the AI platform and customer experiences, from roadmap to rollout
Partner with engineers to design prompt strategies, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails — balancing latency, cost, and accuracy
Serve as the technical translator between engineering and the broader organization, establishing AI best practices and platform standards
Drive systematic improvement in answer quality, customer satisfaction, and automation rates through rigorous experimentation
Work with partners at OpenAI to evaluate and deploy next-generation voice models and workflow automation
Ideal Experience
3+ years in a technical role like forward deployed engineering, technical product management, or similar at a fast-paced startup
Passion and curiosity for AI systems including modern LLMs; comfortable with API design, system architecture, and SQL
Track record of turning complex, strategic ideas into scalable, production-grade products
