Email Marketing Automation Specialist
Full-time
Job Description
Is building email campaigns, journeys, and automation your specialization, helping Campaign Managers deliver the right message at the right time? Are you eager to be part of a team who is helping to shape the future of AI-assisted internal workflows and actively embrace AI as a core part of modern marketing automation?
In this role, you'll design, build, and optimize email marketing and automated journeys, turning campaign briefs and goals into high impact emails and lifecycle programs through data, testing, and continuous innovation.
This is a hands-on execution role. You won’t be creating campaign strategy or content. Instead, you’ll work closely with our Senior Marketing Campaign Managers, using their assets and audience plans to build automated emails, landing pages, gated forms, and lead workflows that support the customer journey. You’ll also review performance data from your automation builds to identify workflow issues and advise on improvements.
You'll stand out if you're not just technically sharp, but also a thoughtful team player and collaborator. Being comfortable and confident working closely with Campaign Managers to help shape their ideas into executable workflows - asking the right questions, advising on what’s possible, setting realistic expectations, building trust through effective collaboration and having real conversations (not just managing tickets).
Location: Hybrid 3 days of in-office collaboration from our Toronto office
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in email marketing automation, specifically building automated journeys or nurture programs (not just one-off email campaigns)
Advance proficiency building and deploying email campaigns within a marketing automation platform (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, Eloqua, or similar)
Basic HTML and CSS skills to update responsive templates, troubleshoot rendering issues, and support QA (no coding from scratch required)
Comfortable and confident collaborating with Marketing Campaign Managers and work through campaign briefs to define targeting, build audiences, and translate requirements into journeys and workflows
Experience managing multiple email builds and competing requests, prioritizing based on business impact while maintaining accuracy and delivery timelines
Strong QA mindset, with attention to detail across email builds, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, deliverability, and a consistent customer experience
Experience applying audience segmentation, data rules, and supporting lead flow between systems (e.g., Salesforce)
Logical and technical mindset, with experience building automation logic and workflow rules
Experience running basic A/B testing (e.g., subject lines, content, send timing) and applying learnings to improve performance
You are eager to be part of a team who is helping to shape the future of AI-assisted internal workflows and actively embrace AI as a core part of modern marketing automation
