Payments Operations Lead

Paystand is hiring a Payments Lead to own and scale Yaydoo’s live payments operation, turning a product already processing real volume into a reliable, repeatable, growing business. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, CX, Sales, and Implementation.
What You’ll Own
Run day-to-day payments operations: monitor transaction health, exceptions, reconciliation, and settlement timing.
Drive volume growth by removing friction from onboarding, activation, and partner handoffs.
Track and improve throughput, success rates, failure reasons, and unit economics.
Build trusted dashboards and reporting for leadership visibility into performance and risk.
Strengthen controls, documentation, and escalation paths so operations stay auditable at scale.
Identify monitoring, reporting, and triage workflows that can be automated or improved with AI-enabled tooling.
Support LATAM expansion by adapting playbooks to local market and regulatory needs.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years in fintech, banking, payment operations, treasury operations, or similar roles.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
Experience scaling payment operations post-launch: volume ramp, exception reduction, reconciliation, control design.
Strong understanding of payment flows, settlement, reconciliation, and operational controls.
Practical curiosity about using AI, automation, dashboards, or alerts to improve operational speed and quality.
Nice to Have
Exposure to LATAM payments or regional expansion.
Experience with B2B SaaS payments, AR/AP platforms, and familiarity with APIs, SQL, or automation tooling.
