You'll join our newly created Group AI team, reporting to the GM, AI Value Creation, based at our Cremorne office.
Few roles offer this breadth: the AI you build won't serve one brand, it will lift marketing across a national sports league, fashion and footwear brands, retailers, hospitality venues and a private equity portfolio.
About the role
We are investing in AI to transform how marketing works across our brands: faster campaigns, sharper content, less manual effort, better use of our data, and more return from every marketing dollar. This role owns how we turn that ambition into commercial results.
This is a hands-on, AI-first leadership role. First and foremost, you are a builder. You can build AI yourself, not just direct it, and you pair that with the commercial judgement to back the opportunities that matter and the influence to bring marketing teams and leaders with you.
The technology is the means, not the point. This role exists to deliver commercial outcomes, and you will own the results.
What you'll do
Identify and prioritise AI opportunities
across the business based on commercial value and ROI, not novelty.
Own the AI roadmap
with clear quarterly priorities, and drive it through to delivery.
Build AI agents and automations
— design, build, and ship agents, automations, and integrations that take manual work off people's plates and unlock things we could not do before.
Standardise across brands
— reusable AI solutions that work across all LK Group brands, not one-off tools.
Measure the financial benefit
— quantify and report time saved, cost avoided, and revenue or ROI gained from each implementation.
Lead adoption
— get tools into people's hands, run enablement, set standards and playbooks, and coach colleagues so capability lifts everywhere.
Support and influence marketing teams and leaders
— brief leaders on where AI is heading, build buy-in, and help prioritise where to invest next.
Stay ahead of AI trends
— especially in performance marketing, image generation, and video generation — with support from the AI Engineering team for the heavier technical lifts.
Where you'll apply AI
Performance dashboards and reporting, content generation, video editing and production, social media, campaign ROI optimisation, personalisation and segmentation, CRM journeys and lifecycle automation, SEO/SEM and paid media, customer and market insight, predictive analytics, and conversational marketing. Beyond marketing, the same approach extends over time to customer experience, retail operations, sales enablement, customer service, and internal communications.
What you'll bring
We care more about what you can do than how long you have done it. We would rather hire someone who can build excellent AI workflows, learns incredibly fast, understands marketing, and has sharp commercial judgement than someone with a decade of traditional marketing experience.
You can build excellent AI agents, automations, and workflows — and you have actually shipped them.
You are ahead of the curve on AI — able to build, demonstrate, and guide others on the latest in performance marketing, image generation, and video generation.
Experience building AI agents, automations, and integrations using modern LLMs, workflow platforms, and APIs.
You learn incredibly fast and stay ahead of a fast-moving field.
You understand marketing — how campaigns, content, audiences, and channels drive results.
Strong commercial judgement — you back the opportunities that move the numbers.
Able to influence marketing teams and leaders, and bring people along.
Clear communicator who works well with non-technical colleagues.
Nice to have: exposure to CRM / marketing automation and analytics platforms, awareness of evaluation, monitoring and lightweight MLOps practices, and an eye for brand consistency and quality.
