About the Role
Jerry.ai is a pre-IPO startup (5M+ customers, profitable) building the first app to manage car and home ownership end-to-end. You will lead the customer-facing Agentic AI product, leveraging LLMs, agents, and internal APIs to create a magical experience for customers, and partner with OpenAI to integrate Jerry.ai services into the ChatGPT app.
Jerry built its own infrastructure to automate sales and service conversations before off-the-shelf platforms existed. Today that system handles over 50k chats per month and automates >70% of inbound sales and service requests. You will own the roadmap for the next big bets: voicebot, computer use, and consumer AI applications.
How You'll Make an Impact
Lead end-to-end development for the AI platform and customer experiences, from initial roadmap to rollout.
Partner with engineers to design prompt strategies, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails, balancing latency, cost, and accuracy.
Serve as the technical translator between engineering and the broader organization, establishing AI best practices and platform standards.
Drive systematic improvement in answer quality, customer satisfaction, and automation rates through rigorous experimentation.
Work with partners at OpenAI to evaluate and deploy the next generation of voice models and workflow automation.
Who You Are
4+ years in a technical role such as forward deployed engineering, technical product management, or similar at a fast-paced startup.
You live and breathe AI, read release notes when a new model drops, and have already built your own custom workflows.
Comfortable in technical conversations about API design and system architecture, translating complex concepts for any audience.
Familiar with SQL and comfortable diving into data to answer your own questions and validate hypotheses.
Pragmatic: you navigate technical tradeoffs and lead by example when implementing AI platform standards.
