Full-time

Verra Mobility is a global leader in smart mobility, serving the world's largest commercial fleets and rental car companies to manage tolling transactions and violations. Headquartered in Arizona, Verra Mobility operates in 15 countries and 22 languages, with European offices in Amsterdam, London, Madrid, and Budapest. Our European violations business provides value to over 600 toll and ticket-issuing authorities in more than 17 European countries.

Role purpose

The RPA Specialist is responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing automation solutions across the European Operations function, with a primary focus on improving efficiency, scalability, accuracy, and cost performance within high-volume transaction processing environments. This role acts as a bridge between Operations, Technology, and Finance, combining deep technical expertise with strong operational understanding. Operating as a peer to the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the function from manual, process-heavy operations into a scalable, technology-enabled delivery model.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and build a pipeline of automation opportunities across Operations (tolling, violations, processing workflows)

  • Evaluate processes using data, SLAs, volumes, and defect rates to determine automation feasibility and ROI, and support leadership in defining the automation roadmap

  • Design, build, test, and deploy RPA solutions to automate manual, repetitive, and rules-based processes using tools such as UiPath or Power Automate

  • Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with system architecture, with clear documentation of automation logic, workflows, and dependencies

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager and processing teams to embed automation into day-to-day workflows with minimal disruption and strong user adoption

  • Monitor automation performance against SLA, quality, and throughput expectations, and track impact including cost savings, efficiency gains, and error reduction

  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Product and Technology teams, acting as a translator between business and technical stakeholders

  • Ensure automation solutions comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and data governance standards, managing risks such as failure points and exception handling

  • Promote an automation mindset within Operations, training and supporting teams in working alongside automated processes

Key skills and experience

  • Strong experience with RPA tools (e.g. UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere) and the ability to design and develop automation workflows end-to-end

  • Good understanding of systems integration, APIs, and data flows, with strong data skills (Excel, SQL preferred)

  • Experience working in high-volume processing or operations environments (e.g. BPO, payments, mobility, transaction processing)

  • Strong understanding of process mapping, optimization, and Lean / Six Sigma methodologies

  • Ability to assess automation opportunities based on cost, ROI, and business impact, working with Finance on investment decisions

  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders, with the ability to influence and drive change without direct authority

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, hands-on, and analytical, with resilience in a fast-changing environment

Success measures

  • Quantifiable efficiency gains and cost savings delivered through automation

  • Reduction in manual processing, errors, and operational defects

  • Improved SLA performance and throughput, plus adoption and effectiveness of automation within Operations

  • Strength and execution of the automation roadmap, contributing to scalable growth of the European business
